With a concave cooking surface, the iron tawa is used to make the popular flatbread in Indian cuisine, bhakri, that is typically made from millet flour or wheat flour. However it can also be used for other types of flatbreads such as chapati, roti, paratha and even omelette and dosa.

Iron Seasoning

  • Rinse & thoroughly dry the cookware with a paper towel or cloth.
  • Pour a little vegetable oil.
  • Use a clean cloth to apply oil around the entire cookware surface, including the outer portion.
  • Mildly heat the cookware.
  • Wipe off excess oil, if any. Store cookware until next use.
