Origin Story
A kitchen mishap with a plastic cookware in the oven made the founders - Madhumitha Uday Kumar and Jagadeesh Kumar realize that for preparing healthy food, utensils matter as much as the ingredients.
They started looking for safer cookware alternatives that do not mix chemicals into food while cooking.
To their surprise, the prevalent options in the market were mostly unhealthy, and the healthier ones were not easily accessible. It made them wonder why there is no reliable brand for healthy cookware. This led to the birth of The Indus Valley.

Jagadeesh Kumar
An engineering graduate with PGDM from IIM (Raipur), Jagadeesh is backed with a strong professional profile; having worked with Tata Consultancy Services, Linde India Ltd and Healthkart. At The Indus Valley, Jagadeesh handles Marketing, Strategy, Customer Experience and Finance. On the personal side, Jagadeesh is an avid reader, a big movie buff and a cricket enthusiast.
Madhumitha Udaykumar
Madhumitha, a former Consultant at Deloitte, started the brand business after conducting 100+ events across Chennai and Bangalore. She oversees Operations and Procurement with keen interest in details and innovation laced with obsession for customer satisfaction. Besides being an inspiring leader and revolutionary entrepreneur, Madhumitha is a great dog and plant mom.
