Paneer Pulao Recipe | How to make Paneer Pulao in Pressure Cooker| The Indus Valley

Recipe:

  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 12 black pepper corns
  • 1 star anise
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 dried red chilli
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 2 green chilies
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 1 cup carrot cubed
  • 15 fried cashews
  • 1 cup French beans, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup soaked basmati rice
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 cup pan fried paneer
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • Coriander for garnish

In a pressure cooker,

  1. Add ghee, whole spices and onion. 
  2. Sauté until onions turn pink.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste & green chilies.
  4. Sauté for 2 minutes over medium heat. 
  5. Add veggies and salt.
  6. Cook for 5 minutes. 
  7. Add drained rice, water, peas, paneer, cashews and lemon juice.
  8. Gently mix.
  9. Pressure cook on high for 1 whistle.
  10. Let the pressure release naturally.
  11. Fluff the rice and garnish with coriander.
